The nights of Ramadan in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are marked by the practice of various traditional games, with enthusiasts typically gathering after the Taraweeh prayer. These games are considered part of the inherited traditions in the Kingdom. In the past, streets would host active traditional games for both adults and children, such as football and volleyball, in addition to games that bring families together at home or with friends in rest areas. Among these games:

Foosball

A game that simulates football, played on a wooden table with a green surface and four bases. It has eight rods, accommodating four players, with two teams competing against each other. The metal rods hold small figurines representing football players.

Carrom

A widely popular traditional game with roots in India, carrom is considered a precursor to billiards, as they share a similar gameplay, except that carrom does not involve a cue stick. It consists of a wooden board engraved with some symbols, with four pockets in the corners, and several colored discs, each color having a specific meaning. The game can be played by two players or four players in two teams, to pocket the discs. The game is won by the player who scores the highest points by pocketing the discs, achieved by pushing them with the fingers in a specific manner.

Dominoes

A popular intellectual game consisting of twenty-eight ivory-colored rectangular pieces, each divided into two halves and marked with black dots. The game relies on mathematical intelligence and has a somewhat complex gameplay.

Baloot

A card game highly favored by Saudis and Gulf nationals, played by two teams with two players each. It consists of thirty-two cards, ranging from card number seven to the Ace (A). The team that scores 152 points wins the game.
