The Anbara Date is one of the varieties of dates that is famously cultivated in al-Madinah al-Munawwarah, located in the western part of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It has a medium yield and matures late. Its shape is typically rectangular, and it's consumed as a date.

The Anbara yield is considered one of the rare palm yields in the Kingdom, and it is cultivated in limited quantities due to its unsuccessful planting, the high cost of its seedlings, and its low annual yield.
The Anbara palm tree requires meticulous care, due to its fragile structure, it is essential to cut 20 percent of the fruit stalks or thin out the dates so that the fruit load on each stalk does not exceed eight dates.

The Anbara Dates are among the most important varieties of dates in the Kingdom. They comply with the standard guiding specifications for the quality standards of dates in the Kingdom, set by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture to facilitate local and international trade, in addition to promoting high-quality production, improving the economic return for producers and exporters, and protecting the interests of consumers.

In addition to sixteen other varieties of dates, Anbara Dates comply with agricultural quality standards for dates set by producers, traders, importers, and exporters. They fall under three main categories: Superior, First, and Second. For the Superior category, the minimum weight of a single date is estimated to be thirteen g, and in a five hundred g weight, there are thirty-eight dates.
For the First category, the minimum weight of a single date is more than ten g, and in a five hundred g weight, the number of date pieces does not exceed fifty. For the Second category, which represents the minimum in the standard specifications for dates; the weight of a single date is six g, and there are eighty-three dates in a five hundred g portion.
The Anbara Dates are classified as monosaccharide dates, meaning that most of their sugar content is in the form of monosaccharides consisting of glucose and fructose.
