Ibrahim Bin Saleh Bin Issa (1854–1925) was a Saudi scholar and historian. He traveled to various countries in pursuit of knowledge and devoted himself to authoring and copying manuscripts and books related to the history of Najd, its genealogies, and the conditions of its people.
Life of Ibrahim Bin Issa
Ibrahim Bin Issa was born in Ushaiqer, Shaqra Governorate, Riyadh Province, on May 10, 1854. He grew up there and learned the basics of reading and writing, memorizing the Quran. In pursuit of knowledge, he traveled across various towns in Najd, such as al-Majma'ah and Unayzah, before heading to az-Zubair. He later traveled to Iraq, India, al-Ahsa, Kuwait, and Hejaz. Ibrahim Bin Issa studied under several scholars, including Saleh Bin Hamad al-Mubaidh, Issa Bin Akkas, and Ali Bin Abdullah Bin Issa.

Ibrahim Bin Issa dedicated himself to copying and authoring manuscripts and books related to the history of Najd, its genealogies, and the conditions of its people. Abdullah Bin Abdulrahman al-Bassam noted that he was "among the most prolific writers on the history of Najd, its genealogies, and various aspects of its conditions," adding, "I do not know of any scholar from Najd who served the history of Najd as he did."
Among Ibrahim Bin Issa’s works are "The History of Certain Events in Najd, the Deaths of Notable Figures, Their Genealogies, and the Construction of Certain Towns;" "The Necklace of Pearls on Events in Najd During the Late Thirteenth and Early Fourteenth Centuries," written at the request of King Abdulaziz Bin Abdulrahman Al Saud; "The Collection of Ibn Issa," a large manuscript containing extracts from various histories and documents; and "A Brief History of the Sharifs of Makkah al-Mukarramah," a summary of "Khilasat al-Kalam Fi Bayan Umara Balad Allah al-Haram" by Ahmad Zaini Dahlan.
Works of Ibrahim Bin Issa
On October 17, 2024, the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) issued "The Complete Works of Historian Ibrahim Bin Issa." The collection includes a variety of works, ranging from jurisprudence, history, and literature to biographies and annotations, gathered from across the globe. It comprises seven hundred items, including manuscripts, documents, and letters.

Ibrahim Bin Issa passed away in Unayzah, Qassim Province, on May 1, 1925.
