Environmental Development Association (Faseel)

The Environmental Development Association, or Faseel, is a non-profit civil society. It bases its work on social entrepreneurship and seeks to enable the community to achieve environmental sustainability. It was established in 2018 and is headquartered in Riyadh city.

The Environmental Development Association (Faseel) was registered by Ministerial Resolution No. 1062 dated June 25, 2018, of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development (currently the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development) under the name of the Environmental Development Association (Faseel) As a non-profit civil society association.

The Environmental Development Association seeks to raise and enhance public awareness by supporting changes in behaviors and social habits that hinder environmental sustainability. It also aims to build the necessary capacities for development and improvement, knowledge and expertise exchange, and the identification of opportunities in the same field.

The association adopts, supports, and innovates developmental solutions related to social sustainability. It offers and supports studies and research on achieving and enhancing environmental sustainability in the Kingdom. Its work supports specific and clear values, including teamwork, sustainability, innovation, diversity and inclusion, responsibility, and integrity.

The Environmental Development Association conducts various activities on multiple levels for the achievement of a sustainable environment. Its work includes launching media campaigns to foster environmental awareness in the community, holding and supporting conferences and exhibitions on environmental development, and organizing environmental events.

The association adopts capacities for the development of ideas and projects related to environmental sustainability. It prepares specialized workshops for developing skills related to the green economy.

The Environmental Development Association engages in volunteer work to reduce the impact of waste on the environment. It also launches reforestation campaigns. This contributes to community engagement in environmental infrastructure development processes.
