Khobar Corniche is one of the tourist landmarks in Khobar City in the Eastern Province. Its total area is about 1.3 million m², divided into two parts: northern and southern, and its site includes some service and entertainment facilities.

Khobar Corniche extends over a distance of about twelve km. It features green spaces, children's playgrounds, several entertainment centers, service facilities, and designated parking areas. The corniche consists of two parts, northern and southern.
Development of the southern Khobar Corniche
The Eastern Province Municipality developed the southern Khobar Corniche in two phases to enhance tourism potential in Khobar. The first phase, completed in 2022, involved developing 750 m of the corniche, doubling the green spaces by 30 percent, increasing from 8,845 m² to 12,500 m² while preserving and expanding the existing trees. Additionally, 135 new parking spaces were added to the existing ones, along with the development of a four-m-wide promenade adjacent to the sea and two plaza areas exceeding 1,100 m².
In the second phase, an area of 1,250 m was developed, including two kids' areas and additional parking spaces accommodating about 208 spots, with the installation of approximately 191 eco-friendly lighting poles. The total developed area reached about two thousand m. The green spaces were doubled from 18,250 m² to 23,800 m², with an increase of 30 percent, along with the development of a 1,250-m-long fence, a promenade adjacent to the sea, and plaza areas.
Development of the northern Khobar Corniche
The northern Khobar Corniche has been developed multiple times. In 2017, it was opened after the completion of the first phase of its development, with a length of one kilometer, a width ranging between sixty m and 116 m, and an area exceeding 110,000 m². It includes green spaces exceeding thirty thousand m², lighting poles, palm trees, shaded seating areas, a walkway 980 m long, and a bike path seven hundred m long.
The corniche includes two shaded kids' areas, one of which is for people with disabilities, and a designated area for celebrations and events covering 1,400 m², along with parking spaces. The area has been equipped with surveillance cameras. As part of the afforestation program implemented by the Parks and Beautification Department of Khobar Governorate Municipality, about 1,500 trees were planted along its length.
On December 30, 2021, the third phase of the development of the northern Khobar Corniche was inaugurated, covering a total area of about 138,000 m² and a length of 1,200 m, aiming to enhance the quality of life and strengthen the Eastern Province's position on the tourism map in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The third phase included green spaces of 25,000 m², approximately 230,000 flowers and 1,300 trees, and a plaza area covering 2,488 m², in addition to investment projects over an area of twenty thousand m². It also included seaside walkways with seating benches, play areas, and inclusive games for children with disabilities, and attention was paid to providing public facilities such as restrooms and parking lots.
