Abdulrahman al-Samari

Abdulrahman Abdullah al-Samari is the chief executive officer of the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He is an oil and gas expert. He is a strategic advisor to the public and private sectors and an expert in terms of financial and operational planning and supply chain development.

Throughout his educational journey, Abdulrahman al-Samari obtained a bachelor's degree in information systems management and a master's in business administration from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He also attended several specialized training sessions in business analytics and strategic management in the United States of America.

Abdulrahman al-Samari works in business strategy and supply chain development. He offered strategic consultancy services to the public and private sectors, as well as financial and operational planning. He enjoys industrial expertise in oil and gas sectors, sets policies and strategies, and suggests laws for content development.

Abdulrahman al-Samari was the first chief executive officer of the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority upon its establishment in 2018. He was previously delegated with the authority's chief executive officer tasks.

Abdulrahman al-Samari participated in determining the main pillars of the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority's infrastructure. He contributed to developing its strategy, achieving its primary objectives, determining performance indicators for measuring local content, developing procurement work, and enhancing its performance. In addition to being the chief executive officer of the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority, he is also one of its board members. He was appointed member of the board of directors of the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, upon Royal approval granted in 2022. He is a former member of the board of directors of the Saudi Fund for Development.
