The Sand and Dust Storm Early Warning Regional Center in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia works on mitigating the effects of climatic changes across three levels:

At the health level, the center seeks to reduce the risks of respiratory issues and damage to agricultural crops, and minimize livestock losses. At the infrastructure level, the center aims to reduce building waste and the impact of structures used for electricity, telephones, energy facilities, and industrial machinery on the environment, in addition to reducing the effects caused by the installation of the transportation sector, railways, sea, and air terminals. At the economic level, the center seeks to reduce the cost of sand and dust removal by launching a monitoring system at national and regional levels.
