The Joint Forces Command is one of the military sectors affiliated with the Ministry of Defense in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It seeks to enhance combat efficiency and readiness of the armed forces. It also leads combat operations based upon emerging threats and the regional security landscape.
Mandate of the Joint Forces Command
The Joint Forces Command is supported by the Armed Forces divisions responsible for managing all operations and training activities. In this respect, cooperation and consolidation are established with all national powers, namely the country's military and security forces. Moreover, the Joint Forces Command operates within regional and international alliances to ensure the security and safety of the Kingdom in terms of its excellence, readiness, and ability to confront all forms of threats. It boasts carefully recruited men who meet the highest levels of professionalism, aptitudes, training, and motivation required for efficiently executing quality operations and managing defense capacities.
Establishment of the Joint Forces Command
The Joint Forces Command was established and assigned missions by the Chief of the General Staff. It is led by the Chief of General Staff, General Abdulrahman Bin Saleh al-Bunyan. It led the Operation Decisive Storm, launched on March 26, 2015.
Objectives of the Joint Forces Command
The Joint Forces Command led a coalition of several countries as part of Operation Decisive Storm and Operation Restoring Hope to support the legitimate government in Yemen and restore security and stability therein. It also oversees humanitarian and reconstruction efforts in the region.

Since its establishment, the Joint Forces Command was led by:

- Lieutenant General Prince Fahd Bin Turki Bin Abdulaziz (June 4, 2017 - September 1, 2020).
- Lieutenant General Mutlaq Bin Salim Bin Mutlaq al-Azima, Acting Commander of the Joint Forces (September 1, 2020 - October 15, 2021).
- Lieutenant General Mutlaq Bin Salim Bin Mutlaq al-Azima, Acting Commander of the Joint Forces (October 15, 2021 - August 29, 2024).
- Lieutenant General Fahd Bin Hamad al-Salman (August 29, 2024 - Present).
