The Saudi International Marine Exhibition is a specialized exhibition in the fisheries field that brings together entrepreneurs, brands, seafood exporters and suppliers, and those interested in fishing and aquaculture. The first edition was launched in 2021.
The exhibition aims to capitalize on the fisheries market in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, foster investment partnerships contributing to the growth of the Saudi economy, and generate sustainable job opportunities that support the Gross Domestic Product. It is organized by the National Livestock and Fisheries Development Program, managed by the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture.
This exhibition serves as an annual interactive platform, offering participants the opportunity for scientific and professional discussions, sharing international expertise, and keeping abreast of the latest technologies in aquaculture and chilled and frozen seafood products. The exhibition features specialized workshops and dialogue sessions focused on the fisheries sector, seafood, and algae.
Objectives of the Saudi International Marine Exhibition
The exhibition aims to develop the fisheries sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by bringing together importers and exporters of live, chilled, and frozen seafood products, decision-makers, and stakeholders in the marine industries, fisheries, and aquaculture. This allows for making commercial agreements and effective conversations with an elite of professionals and industry experts, creating local and international partnerships, showcasing services, promoting relevant products, and encouraging domestic investment in modern aquaculture technologies.
Saudi International Marine Exhibition 2021
The first edition of the exhibition was held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, and lasted for three days. It attracted local and international exhibitors working in fisheries, aquaculture, seafood, marine tourism, and various marine industries.
Saudi International Marine Exhibition 2022
The second edition was held in 2022, with the participation of several Arab ministers specializing in fisheries, thirty countries, and seventy global and local companies, in the presence of international and local businesspeople.
Saudi International Marine Exhibition 2024
The third edition of the exhibition was held in 2024, with participation from thirty-five countries, represented by over 120 companies and around three thousand businesspeople from the Kingdom and beyond. The exhibition was held at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, and lasted for three days. It was organized by the National Livestock and Fisheries Development Program, affiliated with the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture.
For the first time, the exhibition featured the 'Sea Chef' competition and the 'Master Class – Cooking Experience with the Chef' event, where over 120 cooking enthusiasts presented seafood dishes using traditional and innovative cooking methods. Additionally, the program included a business networking event and an exhibition showcasing various types of aquaculture products.
