The International Cultural Excellence Award is dedicated to honoring international individuals and cultural institutions that have contributed to enriching the contemporary international cultural scene in selected topics within the sixteen cultural sectors, such as music, architecture and design arts, heritage, museums, libraries, visual arts, and fashion. The award is part of the tracks under the National Cultural Awards Initiative by the Ministry of Culture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and its establishment was announced in 2022.

Objectives of the International Cultural Excellence Award

The International Cultural Excellence Award aims to honor international individuals and cultural institutions that have contributed to enriching the contemporary international cultural scene, as well as to recognize efforts made in the field of global cultural exchange.

Eligible category for the International Cultural Excellence Award

Nominees for the International Cultural Excellence Award are non-profit institutions that implement cultural connectivity initiatives across various sectors.

Nomination requirements for the International Cultural Excellence Award

Nomination for the International Cultural Excellence Award requires several conditions, including: proof of ownership rights, verification of the institution’s legal compliance in its activities, evidence that the nominated work was completed within the past five years, and confirmation that the institution’s efforts and activities are practically implemented. Additionally, the institution must have contributed to the selected theme of the award cycle, and all submitted personal information and data must be accurate in the attached files.

The institution is not eligible to be nominated for the award if it has won any National Cultural Award within the past three years or the International Cultural Excellence Award. Additionally, the nominated work must not conflict with any local or international regulations, rights, or laws, nor encourage, in any way, the violation of such rights, regulations, or laws.
