Al-Roasa Mosque is a historical mosque located in the southwest of al-Majma'ah Governorate, Riyadh Province, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is at a distance of 180 km northwest of Riyadh, the capital.
History of al-Roasa Mosque
Al-Roasa Mosque, located southwest of the foot of Munikh Mountain, is crowned by al-Marqab Castle. It is one of the ancient mosques of al-Majma'ah. Its construction began in 1946 and was completed in 1950. It was built by Ibrahim Bin Uthman al-Roasa.
Area of al-Roasa Mosque
Al-Roasa Mosque is one of the historical mosques covered by the second phase of Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Project for the Development of Historical Mosques. The mosque currently covers an area of around 663 m, which will increase to 705.76 m upon development. After prayer has ceased there, its capacity will increase to 210 worshipers.
