The Emirate of Jazan Province is one of the emirates of the thirteen provinces in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, administratively affiliated with the Ministry of Interior. Its responsibilities include coordination and collaboration with government entities during the planning stages to provide all services to the citizens and residents. Additionally, it addresses their complaints, considers their matters, and works on meeting their demands and solving their problems.

Establishment of the Emirate of Jazan Province

The Emirate of Jazan Province was established after the unification of the Kingdom. Its headquarters, located on Corniche Road in Jazan City, is 6 km from King Abdullah Airport. It uses the visual identity of the Ministry of Interior as its logo.

Governorates and centers affiliated with the Emirate of Jazan Province

The Emirate of Jazan Province is affiliated with sixteen governorates. The category (A) governorates of Jazan Province include Sabya, Abu Arish, and Samta, while the thirteen governorates of al-Harth, Damad, al-Rith, Baish, Farasan, al-Daier, Ahad al Masarihah, al-Aydabi, al-Aridhah, al-Darb, Harub, Fifa, and al-Tawwal are category (B). Together, they include about forty-one centers.

Mandates of the Emirate of Jazan Province

The main responsibilities of the Emirate of Jazan Province include maintaining security, ensuring the administration of justice in the province, verifying the efficiency and effectiveness of the services provided to the region's residents, and working on improving and developing these services. Prince Mohammed bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz has held the Governoe of the Jazan Province position since 2001. Additionally, Prince Mohammed Bin Abdulaziz Bin Mohammed Al Saud has been serving as the Deputy Prince of Jazan Province since April 22, 2017.

Area and population of Jazan

Jazan Province is the second smallest province in the Kingdom and the sixth in population. It is one of the seven regions in the Kingdom with a population of more than one million. According to the Saudi Census 2022, 1,404,997 people live in the province. Jazan Province is 13,000 km, covering 0.7% of the Kingdom's area. It is the most densely populated region, with a density rate of about 118 people per km.
