Majahim camels in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia come in various colors, setting them apart from other breeds, in addition to their signature black color. They are known for their large stature, as well as substantial meat and milk yield. They are typically not used for transportation or carrying burdens, except in cases of urgent need. Their colors include:
Al-Ghawriyah or al-Gharabiyah (Black):
Camels have acquired their name due to their dark coat.
Al-Malhah (Dark gray):
Camels that are less darkly colored than al-Ghawriyah.
As-Sahbah (Light red):
Camels with a shade lighter than al-Malhah, with its coat including a hint of red.
As-Sufra (Yellow):
Camels with yellow hair interspersed among their black coat. They are lighter in color compared to as-Sahbah.
Az-Zarqaa (Blue):
Camels with a blend of black and white hair on their ears, face, and limbs.
Al-Hamraa (Red):
Known as al-Hamraa al-Majahim, these camels feature a reddish-hued coat covering their bodies.
