Al-Baha Municipality is responsible for developing the urban growth of al-Baha Province, improving its urban landscape, and providing high-quality integrated municipal services for citizens and residents. Moreover, it creates qualitative partnerships to achieve sustainable development. It is one of seventeen municipalities distributed across the thirteen provinces in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is headed by a secretary.

Municipalities affiliated with al-Baha Region Municipality

Al-Baha Municipality is organizationally affiliated with the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, headquartered in al-Baha City. It is about 3.8 km away from the region's emirate. It is affiliated with eleven municipalities: Baljurashi, al-Makhwah, al-Qura, al-Mandaq, al-Aqiq, Qilwah, al-Hajrah, Bani Hassan, Bani Kabir, Maashuqa, and Ghamed al-Zinad.

Establishment of al-Baha Municipality

Al-Baha Municipality was established in 1962. It first operated as a municipality and became an independent Amana for the province in 2005. At the time, the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing issued several decisions that involved naming the municipalities of the provinces, the connection of municipalities and rural complexes, and the cancellation of the General Directorates of Municipal and Rural Affairs, by the Law of Municipalities and Villages issued in 1976, thus amending its name to the Municipality of Al-Bahah Province. Al-Bahah Municipality mandate

Al-Bahah Municipality carries out several tasks within its competence, including preparing regional, urban, and local plans, supervising their implementation, distributing land uses, allocating sites, planning cities and lands, and directing urban development.

The municipality supervises the issuance of various professional licenses, monitors bakeries, factories, and shops to verify the reliability of their products, and cleans streets, squares, gardens, slaughterhouses, and public places.
