The Non-profit Sector Skills Program is an interactive virtual initiative launched by the Mohammed Bin Salman Foundation (Misk) in 2022. The program aims to develop and enhance the capabilities of professionals working in the non-profit sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as empower those interested in joining this sector.
The program contributes to equipping individuals with the skills needed to achieve their organizations' goals and improve their performance through a comprehensive training program based on modern e-learning tools. It also works on empowering recent graduates by providing them with the necessary skills and knowledge to work in the non-profit sector.
Goals of the Non-profit Sector Skills Program
The program aims to spread the concepts and culture of developmental and non-profit work among participants, contribute to improving participants' skills through practical exercise and professional methodologies, qualify participants to develop their organizations' performance, and focus on building youth competencies according to the requirements and developments in the non-profit sector.
Target audience of the Non-profit Sector Skills Program
The program is designed for leaders and workers in the non-profit sector, and for youth wishing to work with non-profit organizations.
Achievements of the Non-profit Sector Skills Program
Over three editions, the program has achieved several outputs, with about 458 graduates, more than 120 enriching references, an improvement rate of about 97.86 percent, over seventy assignments and performance tasks, and five specialized tracks.

Non-profit Sector Skills Program 2022 included four tracks: the human resources management track, the project management for development track, the governance in the non-profit sector track, and the financial sustainability track.
Plan for the Non-profit Sector Skills Program 2022
The 2022 edition had a plan distributed over four weeks. The first week covered the general path, focusing on building a non-profit work culture among all participants. The second and third weeks covered specialized paths (executing specialized paths for participants based on their registration choices, with regular support and guidance). The fourth week included a virtual camp titled (Non-profit Sector Opportunities) and the evaluation of graduation projects.
Applicants were required to meet several criteria for applying to the Non-profit Sector Skills Program 2022. They had to be Saudi nationals, employed in the non-profit sector, aged twenty-three to thirty-five years, possess general knowledge of non-profit sector basics, and hold a university degree or higher.

The 2024 edition includes two paths. First, is the general paths, focusing on providing knowledge and concepts about the non-profit sector, including its characteristics, importance, and available job opportunities. This also covers skills for working in the non-profit sector and building a non-profit work culture.
Second is the specialized paths, providing training within specific areas to enhance participants' competence, equipping them with the necessary knowledge and enabling them to apply it within their non-profit organizations. The specified tracks include human resources management, development project management, governance and performance management, financial sustainability in non-profit organizations, and developmental media.

The 2024 edition includes a plan distributed over six weeks. The first two weeks cover general paths for all participants. The third and fourth weeks focus on specialized paths chosen by participants. The fifth week includes workshops for participants. The sixth week involves a virtual forum and the evaluation of graduation projects.
