Digital Government Capacity Development Program (Quodrat-Tech), a program aimed at developing national human capacities and skills within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, was launched by the Digital Government Authority (DGA) on October 10, 2021, to promote and empower the digital transformation plans in the Kingdom's government sector.
The Digital Government Capability Development Program empowers government entity employees working in digital transformation programs to increase the technical competencies of national cadres. The program also contributes to aligning with the strategic direction of the digital government by expediting transformation through working on several key aspects, mainly the Digital Skills Framework and Quodrat-Tech. The program is concerned with the conclusion of international and local partnerships to fulfill its tasks.
The program focuses on laying the foundation for government entities to identify the most important digital skills required, in addition to empowering government employees by providing training programs based on the digital transformation needs and the latest technologies and practices to promote a distinguished digital government, in partnership with several international entities, e.g., Harvard University, UC Berkeley, Imperial College, and Columbia Business School.
Methodology of Digital Government Capacity Development Program
The methodology of the Digital Government Capacity Development Program relies on special learning, interactive learning, and increasing digital capabilities by offering multiple paths and courses. It also involves the development of training paths and programs aimed at building and developing the professional skills required for future leaders in digital work.
Paths of Digital Government Capacity Development Program
The Digital Government Capacity Development Program includes four main paths:
- Quodrat-Tech Digital Leadership: It comprises seven digital specializations that include training courses targeting government leaders working in the field of digital transformation. They are digital consultations, innovation and design, information technology leadership, business leadership, talent management, digital investment, and digital transformation.
- Quodrat-Tech Professional Training: The program aims to develop the skills of specialists in the information technology and digital transformation sector in government entities to achieve the vision and values of the digital government. It includes several development courses in the latest digital topics in partnership with the top 100 international universities to learn about the latest global technical practices.
- Quodrat-Tech E-Training: This path aims to raise digital awareness of the latest emerging technologies and digital government themes by providing interactive online workshops and programs, e.g., the Internet of Things, how to write government RFPs, improve search engines for government platforms, and enterprise architecture.
- Quodrat-Tech The Elite: This path aims to attract the best graduates from technical specializations to qualify them to work in the government sector by providing intensive training programs according to the needs of the labor market, e.g., software development, data science, and the Internet of Things.
Digital Government Capacity Development Program partnerships
Through the program, DGA establishes strategic partnerships with several major local and international universities and academic institutions to provide the latest practices in the field of digital transformation, in cooperation with Future Skills at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Saudi Digital Academy, through several paths, including the digital leadership, digital skills, professional training, e-training, and the elite path.
