Al-Qadeer Palace is one of the ancient palaces in Sakaka City in al-Jawf Province, north of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is situated on an elevated rocky slope at the western edge of Qara Center, approximately ten km south of Sakaka.

Al-Qadeer Palace is one of the archaeological sites where the Tourism Development Council in al-Jawf Province began implementing fencing, marking, and informational signage projects in 2019.

Al-Qadeer Palace antiquities

Al-Qadeer Palace includes the remains of a fortress built from sandstone and mud, consisting of a room and a watchtower. Its construction dates back to 1124. Nearby, there are large scattered rocks with ancient Thamudic inscriptions, some animal drawings, and hunting scenes. The site is surrounded by a wall for preservation.

The heritage architectural structures at al-Qadeer Palace

Remains of architectural structures and an old well were found north of al-Qadeer Palace. On the surface of the site, groups of pottery fragments were identified as dating back to the Umayyad period and the early Abbasid period, confirming that these archaeological remains precede the construction of the palace. The significance of the building comes from the Arabic inscription that dates the construction of the palace to 1124, found on a rocky surface to the north of the palace.

Development al-Qadeer Palace

Al-Qadeer Palace was included in the heritage and national site development projects in al-Jawf Province.
