Al-Tish game is a traditional group game in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It involves two teams: Al-Tish and al-Tayerin (the Flyers). It shares a general framework with a variety of other traditional games but differs in details. Among these are al-Askar wa al-Haramia (Soldiers and Thieves), and al-Tairi. The teams in the game are divided either by drawing lots or by mutual agreement. One team chases the other, with al-Tish being the team that performs the chasing.

Playing al-Tish game

Al-Tish team starts by facing a wall, referred to in the game as al-Uzeezah, with their eyes closed. They count from one to ten in the following manner: 'one tish, two tish, three tish, four tish, five tish, six tish, seven tish, eight tish, nine tish, ten tish.' After counting, they turn around and begin searching for the children who have hidden during the count. In this game, they are not allowed to guard the wall, al-Uzeezah. Instead, they must move away from it. A member of al-Tish team only needs to see their opponent and call out 'Tish' without touching them to capture the opponent, who is then considered out of the game and "dead."

Winning in al-Tish game

The players of al-Tish team win if they manage to capture all al-Tayerin, al-Tayerin. At that point, the roles are switched. However, if any of al-Tayerin reaches al-Uzeezah without being seen, they prevent al-Tish team from winning, and the al-Tayerin are declared the winners.
