The establishment of the Heritage Commission to advance and preserve the heritage sector through developing laws related to heritage and its preservation, proposing a strategy for the heritage sector, and drafting laws and regulations required by the nature of the commission's work. The work scope of the commission also includes organizing and holding local and international conferences, exhibitions, events, and competitions.
2021
The launching of the "Saudi Noqush Initiative" to explore inscriptions and rock arts scattered around the Saudi provinces. The Heritage Commission is providing several incentives for participants through the initiative.
