The Costume Design Program is a training program launched by the Fashion Commission under the Ministry of Culture in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2023 in the city of Jeddah, in collaboration with Dar al-Hekma University and the Italian fashion academy 'ITS Cosmo'. The program aims to train Saudi fashion designers in the field of costume design and enhance their creative potential.

The Costume Design Program aimed to refine the skills of fifteen Saudi designers through practical and technical training in the production of costumes and accessories, studying specialized curricula in fashion and textiles, design and production techniques, Photoshop, and pattern cutting. Additionally, the program included historical and cultural lessons that contribute to enhancing talents and cultural expertise.
Costume Design Program results
By the end of the training program, participants were able to master the details of designing and developing this type of costume, preparing materials, and exploring the specific techniques, achieving design quality that fits the style and historical period of the concept. The program lasted for about three months, during which participants learned the basic tools in the field of costume design, mastered the visual storytelling of narratives, reflected character traits in the designed costumes, and depicted different time periods.
