At the provincial level, yes, there are two airports: King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, with a maximum capacity of about thirty million passengers annually, is the second-largest airport in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in terms of capacity. The other airport is Taif Airport, with a maximum capacity of two million passengers annually.

Both airports are approximately 115 km away from Makkah al-Mukarramah City (the administrative capital of the province) and the Grand Mosque, a distance that can be covered by car within an hour and forty-five minutes. Passengers traveling through King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah can also visit Makkah al-Mukarramah via the Haramain High-Speed Railway, covering the distance between the two cities in less than forty-five minutes.
