The "Makken" Healthcare Model is a national program that contributes to the training and qualification of healthcare personnel in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It aims to build and develop competencies in various health clusters to enable a new standard of healthcare. The program was launched on September 15, 2021. The program embraces international partnerships with educational institutions and universities, as well as international and local experts.
Contributing entities to the "Makken" Healthcare Model
Among the contributing entities to the "Makken" Healthcare Model program are the Health Academy, which played a significant role in leading and developing training centers within health clusters; the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, which contributed to the establishment of the Health Academy; and the Health Holding Company, which led the program in collaboration with the Health Academy.
Objectives of the "Makken" Healthcare Model
The "Makken" Healthcare Model aims to enable individuals and families to participate in the responsibility of maintaining their health, in addition to providing the healthcare that the community needs within the healthcare system. The "Makken" Healthcare Model encompasses mental, physical, and social health, healthy communities, virtual healthcare, primary healthcare, general hospitals, and specialized hospitals.
