The Red Sea Film Festival Foundation is an independent, non-profit organization, established to support the film industry in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the areas of education, training, production, and distribution of films. Through a number of initiatives and programs, it aims at discovering talents, developing skills, and leveraging experiences to support the culture and entertainment sector.

Red Sea International Film Festival

The Red Sea International Film Festival celebrates the film industry, showcases new films before they are released in cinemas, and rediscovers the masterpieces of classic cinema. The festival is also an important destination for film lovers, including connoisseurs, filmmakers, and workers from all over the world. It extends for ten continuous days, offering enjoyable experiences and rich communication with those interested in the cinema industry.

Red Sea Lodge

The Red Sea Lodge is a platform affiliated with the Red Sea Film Festival Foundation that targets filmmakers and writers. It offers a group of distinctive programs to support and assist creative makers in their cinematic journey to achieve their visions and projects until the final production line. The lodges include the annual Lodge Program, in cooperation with TorinoFilmLab to support and encourage filmmakers to submit creative cinematic projects. Several projects are received and some are selected to undergo supervision, development, and revision across several stages. At the final stage of the program, financial prizes are presented to the winners.

The lodges also include the SeriesLab Program, designed for TV series writers. It offers a golden opportunity to develop a writing script under the supervision of professional writers and producers. Another program is Klinik, which targets makers of short films and involves the production of three films, in addition to the MEMI television writing workshop, which is a Middle East Media Initiative that aims to enrich professions in the field of film industry.

Red Sea Souk

The Red Sea Souk is a film market associated with the Red Sea International Festival in Jeddah. It aims to consolidate relations with filmmakers in the Arab world and Africa. The Souk also provides a detailed view of the vibrant cinematic scene in the Kingdom. It includes networking and discussion sessions to attract, support, and nurture new talents and promising filmmakers. Moreover, it offers networking sessions, training workshops, and seminars dedicated to hosting the most important film experts to learn about the latest developments in Saudi and Arab cinema and international developments in the film industry. Furthermore, the Souk displays the most important upcoming cinematic projects, in addition to works under production from all over the Arab world.

Red Sea Fund

The Red Sea Fund provides support for the film industry to Saudi, Arab, or African directors for the development and production of cinematic projects and the completion of projects under implementation. The fund launched a campaign to support about one hundred cinematic projects, providing financial support of up to USD500,000 for each project at all stages of production.
