Al-Adwaa is a public newspaper that brought together economics, literature, social, and political life. It is the first newspaper published in Jeddah City, west of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, during the Saudi era. The first issue of the newspaper was published on Tuesday, June 4, 1957. Then it was blocked; its publication was halted in January 1959.
Al-Adwaa Newspaper was printed at the Printing and Publishing Establishment in Jeddah. Mohammed Saeed Baeshen was the editor-in-chief of the newspaper, while Abdulfattah Abou Madian and Mohammed Amin Yahya headed the administration. One year later, Abou Madian was the head of administration.
Al-Adwaa Newspaper gradually increased the frequency of its publications. It began with weekly publications every Tuesday, then it was published on some occasions more than once a week. It halted its publications on January 6, 1959, with eighty-seven printed issues.

Al-Adwaa Newspaper played a role in enhancing awareness and developing talents among young people, in addition to influencing cultural life in society. Among the newspaper's contributions to enriching the literary scene is the issuance of a monthly book series, including a book on literary criticism written by its head of administration, Abdulfattah Abou Madian, entitled: "Amwaj wa Athbaj."
