Center for Research and Social Studies

The Center for Research and Social Studies was founded at King Khalid University in Abha, Aseer Province, in 2001. It aims to address and study evolving social issues and provide solutions. Saudi Vision 2030 emphasizes the establishment of a "vibrant society as a key and robust element for economic prosperity." The Center for Research and Social Studies, under the university Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, seeks to achieve these aspirations through a sound research and scientific approach, leveraging the expertise of the specialized academic faculty at King Khalid University, and utilizing specialized faculties worldwide, to fulfill its goals and build a society supportive of national development.

The Center for Research and Social Studies at King Khalid University initiated its activities based on its vision to become an expert hub for studying and researching social issues at the level of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. For the sake of fulfilling its mission of contributing to providing effective solutions to social issues in the Kingdom, facilitating scientific communication with counterpart scientific centers, supporting social ideas and projects that achieve comprehensive community development, and supporting the Kingdom's sound social policies.
