Inspection Technology and Quality Assurance National Institute (ITQAN)
The Inspection Technology and Quality Assurance National Institute (ITQAN) is one of the strategic partnership institutes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is a nonprofit training institute that intends to train and qualify young Saudis with academic knowledge and specialized practical skills in the field of technical inspection technology. This aims to meet the needs of the local job market for manpower, develop the Saudi community, and reduce unemployment rates by localizing specialized professional positions.
The institute was established in Ras Tannurah Governorate in the Eastern Province, and its Board of Directors was formed in 2014 through a quality partnership between Saudi Aramco and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC). It aims to provide training based on a system that relies on modern mechanisms and internationally accredited high standards, focusing on preparing high school graduates for future employment in the energy sector.
Objectives
The Inspection Technology and Quality Assurance National Institute aims to achieve several objectives, including: qualifying Saudi cadres in inspection technologies, meeting the needs of the local Saudi sectors for manpower, contributing to community development, reducing unemployment rates, and participating in the localization of local sectors.
Programs
The institute offers six training diplomas in the field of inspection technology and quality assurance, including: Inspection of electrical components and equipment, inspection of machined parts, inspection focused on welding activities, inspection of civil construction sites and facilities, testing inspector, and occupational health and safety inspector. The specialized training extends for a full year, preceded by a foundation year during which general academic subjects are taught, and trainees develop their English language skills.
