Al-Faw Archaeological Village is located approximately seven hundred km southwest of the capital, Riyadh, specifically in the area where the Tuwayq mountain range intersects with Wadi ad-Dawasir Governorate. It overlooks the western side of the Empty Quarter desert.
Historically, al-Faw Village contained about seventeen large water wells, and its inhabitants engaged in agriculture and trade. It was traversed by the ancient trade route known as the Najran-Gerra road.
Al-Faw Archaeological Village contains numerous antiquities that have preserved their architectural styles, along with several human landmarks such as houses, some of which still contain furniture, markets, roads, tombs, temples, and wells. Additionally, the village features inscriptions carved on the mountains and artistic panels.
