King Salman Park sprawls across an impressive area of approximately sixteen km, rightfully earning its title as the largest urban park in the world, surpassing other renowned urban parks worldwide. To put its vastness into perspective, it is thirteen times larger than Singapore's Gardens by the Bay, five times larger than London's Hyde Park, and four times larger than New York's Central Park.
The King Salman Park is one of the four major projects in the Saudi capital, Riyadh. It was inaugurated by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, in 2019. In addition to the King Salman Park, these remarkable projects include the Green Riyadh Project, the Sports Boulevard Project, and the Riyadh Art Project. These projects are overseen by the Major Projects Committee, headed by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
