Tuwa Well, located near the Grand Mosque in Makkah al-Mukarramah (the north side). It is a historical and archaeological site in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Tuwa Well, located in Dhu Tawa valley in Makkah-al-Mukarramah, is one of the most important historical sites in Islamic history. According to Hadith books and historical sources, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stayed in the valley of Tuwa and distributed his army from there when he entered Makkah as a conqueror. He also stayed there during his Umrah and the Farewell Pilgrimage. He would spend the night there, pray the dawn prayer, perform ablution from the Tuwa Well, and then enter Makkah-al-Mukarramah. It is an existing well not currently used, with a structure built over it.

Today, Tuwa Well is located on the western edge of the third Saudi expansion of the Grand Mosque and its northwestern courtyards, which encompassed the western part of the Grand Mosque, al-Shubaika neighborhood, al-Bab District, Ray' al-Rasam (Kuda) area, and Jarwal District where the Tuwa Well is located. Its structure stands at the edge of the expansion, and to its west runs Omar bin Abdulaziz Street, which separates the well from the old maternity hospital to the west at its intersection with Hassan Street in Jabal al-Kaaba. The well is separated from the Grand Mosque in the northwest, where the well is located in its corner and the bridge of the first ring road adjacent to the Grand Mosque. The well is 1.43 km away from the Holy Kaaba.
