The Saudi Climbing and Hiking Federation is one of the sports federations in Saudi Arabia. It is concerned with overseeing rock climbing and hiking. It was established under the Ministry of Sport and the Saudi Arabian Olympic Committee, and it is headquartered in Jeddah. It was established in 2018.
In 2020, the federation joined the International Federation of Sport Climbing. The federation undertakes several tasks, including issuing regulations for hiking and climbing according to international standards and issuing licenses for hiking guides, climbing coaches, and trip organizers.

First lead climbing championship
The Saudi Climbing and Hiking Federation adopted its organizational and ethical discipline regulations, implemented in 2020 as part of the Federation's plan to develop and progress the sport. In the same year, the federation organized the Lead Climbing Competition in Jeddah as the first national competition for lead climbing for both men and women. This marks the beginning of local championships to prepare male and female climbers to crown a Saudi champion who will represent the Kingdom in international competitions.
Educating climbing and hiking enthusiasts
The Saudi Climbing and Hiking Federation aims to educate the community about climbing, which has recently become popular and witnessed a surge in practitioners, by organizing a series of events for enthusiasts and fans of the sport and showing documentaries that narrate the real-life stories of world-renowned climbing champions, their experiences, and the challenges they faced. This also includes the journey of the Saudi coach, Abdulrahman al-Abdah, who has successfully opened and climbed several challenging routes in the Kingdom. Furthermore, the federation focuses on methods to overcome obstacles and achieve goals.
