Saudi Investment Bank is a Saudi bank listed as a public joint stock company on the Saudi Exchange (Saudi Tadawul). It was established in 1976. The bank's headquarters is located in the capital, Riyadh, and it is subject to the supervision and control of the Banking Control Department affiliated with the Saudi Central Bank, with a capital of SAR10 billion.

Establishment of Saudi Investment Bank

Saudi Investment Bank was established pursuant to Royal Decree No. M31, dated June 23, 1976, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The bank operates under Commercial Registration No. 1010011570, dated March 16, 1977, through a network of forty-eight branches in the Kingdom. The bank operates forty-four branches through 'al-Asalah' brand to provide Islamic Sharia-compliant products and services.

Saudi Investment Bank stocks are traded on the main market of (Saudi Tadawul) within the banking sector under the name (SAIB), code (1030), International Securities Identification Number (ISIN) (SA0007879063).

Saudi Investment Bank provides a full range of banking services for corporates and individuals, in addition to investment services. Moreover, the bank carries out financing operations for industrial sectors, as well as trade financing, which includes the import and export process. This reflects the bank’s commitment to support and develop the private industrial and commercial sector.

When established, the Saudi Investment Bank specialized in medium-term financing operations for industrial projects. In 1983, the bank adopted its current name (Saudi Investment Bank) and focused on providing commercial banking services.

In 2006, 'al-Asalah' Islamic banking services brand was launched to provide Islamic Sharia-compliant products and services. Saudi Investment Bank also offers traditional and Islamic banking services to individuals and corporates, and provides banking services and products to the government, semi-government, and private sectors, in addition to small, medium, and micro-enterprises.

The bank has shares in three Saudi companies, the first is American Express (Saudi Arabia) Limited. Its principal activities include issuing credit cards and providing other American Express products in the Kingdom. The second is Saudi ORIX Leasing Company. Its principal activity is lease financing services in the Kingdom. The third is Amlak International for Real Estate Finance Company. It mainly offers real estate financing products and services.
