King Abdullah Environmental Park is a public park in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, located in al-Ahsa Governorate, specifically south of al-Hufuf City on the internal ring road of al-Hufuf and al-Mubarraz. It is part of a series of service facilities supervised and developed by al-Ahsa Governorate Municipality.

Facilities

The park spans an area of approximately 450,000 m² and includes a number of facilities, for example:

It is a heritage village depicting the historical and spatial reality of al-Ahsa during the period dating back to 1931. The village comprises a set of old heritage buildings, in addition to courtyards, a mosque, and a number of markets where some of the ancient crafts and professions of al-Ahsa are exhibited.

The park also features an interactive fountain, and a lake with a water island in the middle measuring seven hundred m in length and forty m in width, along with supporting facilities and various entertainment options for both children and adults.

Development

Al-Ahsa Governorate Municipality manages King Abdullah Environmental Park and is responsible for implementing development plans, overseeing, periodically maintaining, and renovating facilities. In 2020, the municipality rehabilitated the park by maintaining the grounds, installing exercise equipment areas, designating paths for cycling, maintaining vegetation and green spaces, improving lighting, and installing and maintaining children's playgrounds.
