The Book Tuhfat al-Nasik bi-Ahkam al-Manasik is among the earliest Saudi publications. Written by Sulayman Bin Abdullah Bin Muhammad Bin Abdul Wahhab Al al-Sheikh, it was printed in 1925 at the Umm al-Qura Press in Makkah al-Mukarramah under the directive of King Abdulaziz Bin Abdulrahman Al Saud. The King also personally financed its distribution, marking it as the first book published at his expense. The booklet contains fifty-two pages.

Author of the Book Tuhfat al-Nasik bi-Ahkam al-Manasik

Sulayman Bin Abdullah Bin Muhammad Bin Abdul Wahhab Al al-Sheikh authored the book Tuhfat al-Nasik bi-Ahkam al-Manasik and produced several other works, including Hashiyat ala al-Muqni’ and Taysir al-Aziz al-Hamid fi Sharh Kitab al-Tawhid, a commentary on Kitab al-Tawhid written by his grandfather, Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab. In addition to these, he composed jurisprudential fatwas and valuable edited letters, which were published alongside the writings of scholars. Born in Diriyah in 1785, Sulayman Al al-Sheikh was educated by his father, grandfather, and other scholars, mastering the sciences of Sharia. He became a Hadith scholar, jurist, and Usuli following the Hanbali school of thought. His expertise extended to language studies, where he excelled as a linguist and calligrapher. He later served as a judge in Makkah al-Mukarramah for a time before returning to Diriyah. Sulayman Al al-Sheikh passed away in 1818.
