The Digital City is a multi-use complex located at the heart of Riyadh City, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, over eight hundred thousand m. The city, in total, forms commercial and residential spaces, stores, and innovative services. It was established by Raidah Investment Company - the investment arm of the General Organization for Social Insurance. The city is a technical zone that aims to develop and enhance the communications and technology sector. It was established according to the regulations adopted by the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (Modon) and fulfills its requirements for establishing technology zones. The city's launch was announced in 2009.
The Digital City comprises three main sectors: information technology, communications, and research and development. It also houses the Innovation and Creativity Center, encompassing seven zones, including pathways, tech streets, Knowledge Village, residential buildings and villas, a palm walkway, and a recreational and park zone.
The Digital City aims to provide a conducive environment that attracts, retains, and motivates talent by fostering a flexible and evolving community that encourages innovation, supports tech companies' operational needs, and serves as a primary hub for information technology activities.
