Al-Ula Development Project aims to transform al-Ula Governorate in al-Madinah al-Munawwarah into an international and cultural tourist destination, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. This transformation will be achieved by preserving its heritage and nature in cooperation with the local community. The project encompasses three programs, namely:

Archaeological Survey Program in al-Ula Governorate:

Al-Ula Archaeological and Heritage Survey Program aims to bring together international and local archaeologists and experts to preserve historical and heritage sites in al-Ula, achieve a sustainable transformation, and enable visitors to learn about al-Ula's cultural, historical, and natural heritage and the Arab civilizations it encompasses.

Al-Ula Scholarship Program:

It is a program initiated by the Royal Commission for al-Ula, aimed at sending a group of young individuals from al-Ula Governorate to international educational institutions in countries such as the United States, France, and the United Kingdom. The program aims to prepare them for active participation in development activities and equip them with the qualifications required for future employment. These students will pursue diplomas, bachelor's degrees, or postgraduate studies in fields that align with al-Ula's development goals.

Hammayah Program:

Hammayah Program, launched by the Royal Commission for al-Ula, aims to engage the local community intensively to play a prominent and effective role in the development projects of al-Ula. The program offers opportunities for the residents of al-Ula Governorate to contribute to protecting and preserving al-Ula's cultural and natural heritage.
