Newly introduced awards in the Club Social Responsibility Award
In August 2021, the Social Responsibility Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation announced the introduction of the Ideal Audience Award. This award acknowledges the vital role of fans in supporting national teams and clubs while fostering healthy competition and encouraging exemplary fan behavior. The Ideal Audience Award is based on five criteria, including audience attendance, audience discipline, assessed by the number of disciplinary violations issued by the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee against each club’s fans throughout the season, and the club presenting at least one initiative that benefited or involved fans. Such initiatives may include preserving stadium environments, assisting with organization, volunteering services, or promoting exemplary and disciplined support. Another criterion is a public vote conducted for twenty-four hours through the federation's official website, allowing everyone to select the most active and influential fanbase. The final criterion focuses on fan councils, their organizational affiliation with clubs, official recognition by the clubs, and the submission of a list of their presidents' names.
In the 2021-2022 season, the Social Responsibility Committee of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation introduced three new Social Responsibility Awards starting from the fourth edition. The first award, the Club Social Responsibility Award, includes clubs from the Saudi Pro League, Yelo League, and the second and third divisions.
