Mohammed Abdulatif Al al-Sheikh (1955 - 2024) was a Saudi writer. He contributed to literary publishing, namely folklore literature. He wrote in local newspapers under the "Shay' Min" column. He contributed to elaborating Saudi encyclopedias and wrote several lyrical works under his pen name "al-Aaber."
Life of Mohammed Abdulatif Al al-Sheikh
Mohammed Abdulatif Al al-Sheikh was born in Riyadh City. He began his career in trade and business before redirecting his work to journalism and writing. He worked on folk literature publishing upon chairing the board of directors of Qattuf and Hayat al-Nas magazines. For three decades, he held a weekly meeting that was attended by culture, journalism, and media enthusiasts.
He participated in elaborating the documentary entitled "King Abdulaziz Al Saud: His Biography and Reign in Foreign Documents," issued in 1999, and the "Encyclopedia of Traditional Culture in the Kingdom," published in 2000. He wrote several songs under his pen name "al-Aaber." He had a column entitled "Shay' Min" in the Saudi al-Jazirah Newspaper. He was active in the early days of electronic forums. He published a book entitled "So Bin Laden Doesn't Come Back" featuring his articles that were published in newspapers.
