Jeddah Central Project is one of the most notable development projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The project's masterplan and main profile was launched by the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Investment Fund, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jeddah Central Development Company, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud with the aim to transform Jeddah Central into a global destination directly overlooking the Red Sea and foster its economic status. The project features four main landmarks, including an opera house, a museum, a sports stadium, and ocean basins with coral farms. It will be executed throughout three phases:
The first phase, to be completed in 2027, represents 45 percent of the project and encompasses completing several facilities, such as the sandy beach, promenade, sports stadium, parks, and marina.
The second phase, to be completed in 2030, represents 36 percent of the project and encompasses innovative educational facilities, a library, an advanced museum powered by smart technologies, and two areas dedicated to health, culture, and innovation.
The third phase is expected to be completed after 2030. It represents 19 percent of the project and relates to completing the natural promenade, the culture and innovation area, the arts village, and the coral bay.
