What Are the Requirements for Establishing Private Sports Clubs in Saudi Arabia?

The Saudi Arabian Football Federation has set several conditions for the establishment of private sports clubs to be officially recognized, including:

1- Obtain a private club license from the Ministry of Sport in accordance with the requirements for private club licensing (through the NAFES program).

2- Meet the technical requirements set by the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (including coach operations and the club inspection model).

3- Pay the annual membership fee to the Saudi Arabian Football Federation, which is SAR10,000, paid annually to the Saudi Football Federation account.

4- Submit a commitment to comply with the Saudi Arabian Football Federation's bylaws and provisions, in accordance with the approved acknowledgment form.

5- Submit a commitment to fully comply with the regulations, laws, and calendar of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation and the Ministry of Sport, including:

- Membership principles for participation.

- Full respect for the game and its laws as issued by the International Football Association Board (IFAB).

- Respect for and adherence to the principles of integrity, fair play, and sportsmanship.

- A full acknowledgment that sports disputes are referred to the judicial or arbitration bodies of the federation, the Sports Arbitration Center, or the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), and that resorting to or litigating in ordinary courts is prohibited.
