The Eastern Province is home to numerous handicrafts and traditional industries, which have persisted due to the availability of raw materials and its strategic geographic location. Among these crafts are:
- Bisht-making, renowned in al-Ahsa Governorate.
- Pottery-making, using special clay.
- Fish traps ('Garagir') production, which are made from steel wires.
- Palm frond weaving ('al-Khaws'), from which baskets, ropes, circular dining mats (sufra), bags, hats, hand fans, mats, brooms, and wicker baskets are made.
- Traditional sweets production, such as sago and al-khanfaroosh.
- Metal box crafting: Includes small cylindrical boxes like al-Barwa for storing documents and deeds, as well as larger boxes for storing rice and sugar.
- Sadu weaving and traditional Bedouin tents (Bayt al-Shaar).
- Palm frond crafting (al-Qafasah): Includes bird cages, date baskets, incense burners, Holy Quran stands, Manz (a child's crib), and Sajm (a bed for adults).
- Blacksmithing, where axes, sickles, adzes, stakes used to secure tents, crowbars used to dismantle and move rocks, and al-Mahash used for harvesting are produced.
