Al-Wajh Airport is a domestic airport in Tabuk Province, northwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is affiliated with the Civil Aviation Authority and is located approximately seven km south of the center of al-Wajh Governorate.

Al-Wajh Airport development

Red Sea Global has been tasked with the development and renovation of al-Wajh Airport in October 2023. The development focuses on renovating and upgrading the airport to global standards, along with modernizing the existing terminal and infrastructure. Additionally, the company has been assigned to construct a new international terminal, which will enhance the airport's readiness to accommodate more direct flights, stimulating economic activity in the region and creating job opportunities for the local community. Coinciding with the development announcement, Saudia announced the transfer of its operational activities from al-Wajh Airport to the Red Sea International Airport starting Sunday, October 29, 2023.

The development of al-Wajh Airport supports ongoing projects in the region, with the potential to become a new gateway to Amaala, which is being developed by the company. Additionally, it can serve as a new platform for the operations of 'Fly Red Sea,' a subsidiary of Red Sea Global, the Kingdom's first seaplane company. This will contribute to increased connectivity within the region.

Al-Wajh Airport before development

Before its development, al-Wajh Airport had a capacity of approximately one hundred thousand passengers annually, with two departure gates, one hundred parking spaces, and five lounges. These included arrival and departure lounges, a check-in lounge, a royal lounge, and an executive lounge. The airport's facilities encompassed the airport, the terminal building, and supporting services.
