What Are the Prominent Non-Oil Exports of Saudi Arabia?
According to data from the General Authority for Statistics, the prominent non-oil exports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia include chemicals and polymers, heavy machinery and electronics, automobiles, food products, construction materials, packaging materials, durable consumer goods, precious metals and jewelry, metals, and plastics and rubber.
According to the International Trade Report for 2023, issued by the General Authority for Statistics, non-oil exports amounted to approximately SAR209 billion. Chemical industry products topped the list of the most important non-oil export goods, accounting for 29.7 percent of total non-oil exports, followed by plastics and rubber and their products, which represented 24.9 percent of total non-oil exports.
In 2023, China emerged as the leading destination for Saudi exports, accounting for 16.6 percent of total exports, followed by Japan with 10.2 percent, and India with a share of 9.4 percent. South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, the United States, Bahrain, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Singapore were also among the top ten countries to which exports were sent. The total exports from the Kingdom to those ten countries amounted to 65.3 percent of the overall exports.
