The Saudi Football Players Association is an association accredited by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development. Establishment of the association
The Saudi Football Players Association was established in late 2021. The idea of creating an independent entity dedicated to players' rights emerged due to the Kingdom's ongoing development in various sectors. The association aims to support players administratively, legally, investment-wise, culturally, and artistically. It dedicates all its efforts and resources to creating a better working environment for football players within the Kingdom. The association also strives to be the voice and representative of its members in the Kingdom, ensuring no discrimination of any kind among players. It maintains open communication with players and members to resolve any issues they face during and after their sports careers.
Vision and mission of the association
The vision of the Saudi Football Players Association is to be the representative of football players in the Kingdom. Its mission is to provide legal, technical, administrative, and social support to players, ensuring a dignified life for them while offering training and qualification. This enables them to become an effective and sustainable force within the community.
Founding members
The founding members of the Saudi Football Players Association are former international players, including Osama Hawsawi, Mohammed al-Sahlawi, Abdulmalek al-Khaibri, Manaf Abushgeer, Musa al-Shammrai, Nasser al-Qahtani, Safwan al-Mawlud, Abdullah al-Maliki, Waleed Bakshween, Hassan Moath, Fahad al-Muwallad, Omar Hawsawi, Moataz Hawsawi, Abdullah Madu, Ali al-Zaqaan, and Mohammed al-Breik.
Board members
The Saudi Football Players Association is chaired by international player Mohammed al-Sahlawi, with Musa al-Shammari as vice president and Abdulmalek al-Khaibri as the financial supervisor. The board members include Safwan al-Mowalad, Manaf Abushgeer, Hassan Moath, and Nasser al-Qahtani.
Training programs offered by the Saudi Football Players Association
The association offers a variety of courses aimed at developing male and female players and improving their academic and educational situations in line with their interests and hobbies. The Training and Continuing Education Committee strives to enhance the professional lives of players and ensure their stability after their football careers. The association provides educational, cultural, social, rehabilitation, investment, artistic, and legal services and programs. It also offers consultations to players when they face issues with clubs or agents.
