Ras al-Khair Industrial City has an integrated aluminum production complex, encompassing a smelter that produces 740,000 t of aluminum annually. It represents one of the two locations taken by 'Ma'aden Aluminum' Project, the other being in al-Ba’itha, north of Qassim Province.
'Ma'aden' Company owns an alumina refinery capable of producing 1.8 million t of processed alumina annually and a rolling mill for producing aluminum sheets used in the automotive and manufacturing industries. Additionally, it includes a dedicated unit for aluminum recycling.
