The refining capacity of Yanbu Refinery is 250,000 bbl per day. Since its establishment in 1983, it has been strategically significant, serving as a vital artery for supplying the local market with petroleum products. It is a model in the oil, gas, and refining industry, achieving advanced levels of efficiency, reliability, and safety economically and sustainably.
The refinery is a subsidiary of Saudi Aramco and operates in the fuels and petrochemical feedstocks. It is located in Yanbu Industrial City.
Yanbu Refinery won the Sheikh Khalifa Award for Excellency at its nineteenth edition ceremony for 2021, first place in the King Khalid Award, the golden category of the King Abdulaziz Quality Award, and the six-star category in the Certificate of Recognition of Excellence from the European Foundation for Quality Management.
The World Economic Forum announced adding Yanbu Refinery to its recognized 'Lighthouse' Network in appreciation of its pioneering deployment of cutting-edge technologies to deliver a range of operational, commercial, and environmental benefits.
