The International Prize for Arabic Fiction represents one of the most important Arab literature awards, as it supports winning novels by publishing and translating them into several languages. Since its launch in 2007, a number of Saudi writers have won the prize for their novels, which are:

Turmi Bisharar (Throwing Sparks)

A novel written by Abdo Khal who was the first Saudi novel to win the prize in 2010.

Tawq Al-Hamam (The Dove's Necklace)

A novel written by Raja'a Alem who was awarded the prize jointly in 2011 and was the first Saudi woman to win it.

Mawt Saghir (Little Death)

A novel written by Mohammed Hasan Alwan and was the third Saudi novel to win the prize in 2017.
