Herfy Food Services Company

Herfy Food Services Company is a Saudi joint-stock company that operates in the fast-food restaurant business and produces and sells bakery and meat products. The company was listed on the Saudi Stock Exchange (Saudi Tadawul) in February 2010, under the trading symbol (6002) within the consumer services sector. Its paid-up capital amounts to SAR646.8 million.

Herfy Food Services Company was established in 1981, with the opening of the first Herfy restaurant in Riyadh City. In the following year, Herfy Bakeries were established to better control the quality of its products.

In 1994, Panda Company's stake in Herfy Food was transferred to Kingdom Holding Company. In 1998, al-Azizia Panda Company merged with the Savola Group, and Herfy became a partner and member of the Savola Group.

Herfy's management worked on developing the company and transforming it from a local restaurant chain to a fast-food brand at the national level in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The company evolved into the first integrated food services company in the Kingdom by establishing world-class restaurants and bakeries, in addition to a modern meat production and processing plant with high global standards.

Herfy employs more than six thousand male and female employees, distributed across more than 380 restaurants. The company has granted franchises for several restaurants in Kuwait and Bangladesh and plans to expand into more countries.

The company's activities include establishing restaurants, supplying cooked food to companies and other entities, and preparing and selling pastries and bread. Additionally, it buys and sells land to construct buildings, investing in these buildings through sale or lease for the company's benefit. The company establishes and operates restaurants, kitchens, rest areas, buffets, and cafes, as well as storage, refrigeration, use, maintenance, and rental of warehouses and food storage refrigerators.

The bakery was established in 1982, and Herfy's Bakeries evolved from being a simple supplier to Herfy restaurants to becoming a major supplier of baked goods to many retail customers and institutions across the Kingdom. In 2011, the Herfy's Cake and Pastry Factory was established to produce a diverse and high-quality range of bread, croissants, and pastries.

Herfy's Meat Processing and Production Plant began operations in 2005 and is considered one of the most modern meat processing and production facilities in the Middle East, utilizing advanced technologies to manufacture fully cooked products. Herfy's Meat Production and Processing Plant's acquisition of the ISO 22000:2005 certification and the Saudi Food and Drug Authority license is an indication of the company's commitment to high-quality standards and specifications.
