The Yanbu, Ummlujj, al-Wajh, and Duba Development Authority is an independent government authority, financially and administratively, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It is organizationally linked to the Prime Minister and was established by Royal Order on October 15, 2021. Its headquarters is in Riyadh, and it aims to develop and oversee developmental and urban plans and programs in the governorates of Yanbu, Ummlujj, al-Wajh, and Duba on the Red Sea coast west of the Kingdom.

Tasks of the Yanbu, Ummlujj, al-Wajh, and Duba Development Authority

The Yanbu, Ummlujj, al-Wajh, and Duba Development Authority has been assigned a set of tasks to achieve its goals in developing the province and enhancing its services, including:

- Formulating general policies for the development and growth of the geographic area, and preparing the master plan and urban code for it.

- Managing and developing activities within the authority's jurisdiction and those related to specified fields within the geographic area, either independently or in collaboration with others.

- Establishing centers organizationally linked to the authority to undertake some of its functions and tasks, organizing their financial and administrative affairs, and determining the means and mechanisms for executing its mandates and activities.

- Issuing, withdrawing, and canceling licenses and permits, setting necessary regulations and specific requirements, and suspending them wholly or partially, permanently or temporarily.

- Encouraging and facilitating investment in the geographic area by creating partnership opportunities or direct investment through partnerships with investors in the public and private sectors, investment funds, and local and international institutions.

- Establishing non-profit entities and companies inside and outside the Kingdom and participating in them independently or with others.

- Coordinating efforts, cooperation, and information exchange between ministries and other government entities in the Kingdom to achieve its objectives.

- Owning and managing real estate, making donations and grants, buying and selling, utilizing, mortgaging, monopolizing, endowing, segmenting, leasing, and transferring related rights.

- Cooperating and exchanging expertise with regional and international organizations inside and outside the Kingdom, and representing the Kingdom in relevant regional and international bodies and organizations.

- Concluding agreements and memorandums of understanding related to its activities with relevant entities in other countries and international organizations, and hosting or participating in local and international events and exhibitions related to activities within its jurisdiction and those specified in the geographic area.
