Printing of the Holy Quran in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is one of the services provided by the Kingdom - since its establishment - to care for the Holy Quran and its sciences, including printing and distributing it to Muslims all over the world, and translating its meanings into many international languages. The establishment of the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex in al-Madinah al-Munawwarah is an extension of the Kingdom's care for preserving, printing, and distributing the Holy Quran to Muslims.
King Fahd Bin Abdulaziz laid the foundation stone for King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex in 1982 in al-Madinah al-Munawwarah. King Fahd inaugurated the complex in November 1984. In addition to the Hafs narration, the complex prints the Holy Quran according to the narrations of Warsh, Qalun, al-Duri, Shu'bah, and al-Susi. The complex also prints the Quran in Braille for the visually impaired, making it easier for them to identify the verse numbers they are reading, facilitating their reading of the chapters and verses from the Quran.
