Pomegranate is grown in various provinces in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including al-Bahah, Qassim, Aseer, al-Jawf, and Makkah al-Mukarramah.
The area of pomegranate farms in Makkah al-Mukarramah Province covers around 400.1 ha2, followed by the Tabuk Province, with around 343.4 ha of cultivated pomegranate areas, encompassing around 180 farms. The local market's annual production reaches three million kg.
According to the latest statistics published by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Saudi pomegranate production amounts to around 30.1k t per year, achieving a self-sufficiency rate of 34 percent. The total area of pomegranate farms in all producing provinces of the Kingdom 1,587 ha2.
